Killer Shrimp
About This Spot
Stepping into Killer Shrimp is like slipping into a spirited marina-side gathering where the salt air mingles effortlessly with the rich aromas of sizzling seafood and warm spices. The energy here is lively yet inviting, a place where the rhythm of casual coastal dining meets moments of genuine connection. Whether you find yourself lingering over a late breakfast or settling in for an evening with friends, the atmosphere hums with a welcoming pulse—brimming with easy laughter, clinking glasses, and the occasional friendly cheer from the bar.
Sunlight often dances through the windows that frame the marina, lending the space a relaxed brightness that contrasts warmly with the kitchen’s robust flavors. Here, the menu unfolds like a love letter to the ocean’s bounty, where bold spice and comfort find balance in dishes kissed by fire and sea breeze. Whether it’s the comforting richness of crabcakes or the playful twist of lobster mac 'n' cheese croquettes, each bite invites you to savor not just the food itself but the stories it carries—crafted simply and unpretentiously for sharing.
The true heartbeat of Killer Shrimp reveals itself in the spirited camaraderie between guests and the attentive, often bubbly staff who seem to know just how to turn a meal into a memory. From the warmth in a server’s smile to the thoughtful pace of service, the sense here is less about rushing through a meal and more about savoring time—whether that's catching up after a day on the water or embarking on a first discovery of the menu’s many treasures.
As you linger over a Bloody Mary crafted with care or dip into that impossibly spicy shrimp broth, there’s a sincere joy that threads through the experience—one that draws locals and visitors alike into moments that feel both familiar and a little adventurous. This is a place where the marina views aren’t just scenery but part of the flavor, where every visit feels layered with warmth, spirited hospitality, and the kind of honest good food that invites you to come back, again and again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We’ve been coming to Killer Shrimp in the Marina for a while, and honestly the service here has always been hit or miss. But Tiffany completely changed our outlook on this place. She truly brightened our day with her warm, bubbly personality and outstanding service. She put the Happy in Happy Hour! The view and the Happy Hour specials are already amazing, but Tiffany is the reason we’ll be coming back—just on the days we know she’s serving. Killer Shrimp, take note: she’s a gem!

After a night ride on my buddy’s boat in the marina, we docked right outside Killer Shrimp and headed in for dinner. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the service was awesome—everyone was so friendly. I ordered the enchiladas and they were amazing—definitely my new favorite dish here! The appetizers were great, and the drinks hit the spot . Between the location, the food, and the service, this place is a gem. I’ll definitely be back and will be bringing my family and friends next time.

The Baseline: For a seafood fine dining the fish/seafood needs to be fresh, the presentation must excel beyond a casual seafood place, there must be a selection of accompanying offerings, and there are unique offerings. Food: The Original Shrimp is what you come here for. Shrimp. Spicy broth base. Bread. That is the original with all its glory and I can remember when it was on the second story of a strip mall sitting above a Subway and Tajrish Kabob House. If you get the original it still holds up to my memories of it at its original location. Also the fries and lobster roll were good. The Snickers Pie was a decent desert. The Original is what holds up the food rating. Service: The service was fine but we had a bit of waiting and we had to ask for the desert menu rather than have it offered. I also had to ask for water refills. Ambiance: As much as I had nostalgia for the Washington Blvd location, eating your meal while overlooking the marina is far superior. This is a great location that the owners are really using to its best for the square footage of this place. The building holds the Killer Cafe (breakfast place) and a Speakeasy (bar). It is a great location. Relatively clean bathroom.

This shrimp is truly KILLER! I adored the abundance of bread, the sauce was spicy and flavorful and the atmosphere of the marina view from the dining area can't be beat! Fast and friendly service really elevated the experience as well. I will be back and I will bring friends. Seriously, we decided we're adding this place to our list of places to bring friends who are visiting us in LA.

This restaurant is outstanding with food quality, and service. The harbor view was nice as well. My boyfriend and I could not finish our portions as they were really generous. We had a wedge and bread to start. My boyfriend had a shrimp cocktail, and I had a roasted beet salad. Totally amazing nosh! And our server Kalista was outstanding and very fun!

This was our first time visiting this restaurant, and all the food made us feel so happy—it was truly delicious and definitely worth coming back for. The service was also very thoughtful, as the staff even changed our plates midway through the meal. However, the only disappointment came at the end. We had ordered a skewer dish that never arrived, so we reminded the server. He told us we hadn’t ordered it, so we placed the order again. Later, when the bill came, we saw two skewers charged. We explained to the server that we had only ordered one. After checking, he came back and told us in a very serious tone that he had given us two, but since we had raised the issue, he wouldn’t pursue it further. The problem is—we really only received and ate one skewer! When the server left with an unhappy attitude, it left us feeling that such a wonderful meal ended on a very unfortunate note.

9/30/25 I was in town for business and wanted to have a nice dinner with my friend. Since she was dog sitting we needed a pet friendly spot and Killer Shrimp was perfect with their outdoor patio. The ambiance was very welcoming, inviting, and causal. We ordered the lobster mac and cheese, shrimp tacos, mini crab cakes, and a garden salad with vinaigrette. Everything was absolutely delicious and so fresh. Our waitress Kali was so friendly and attentive which made the experience even better. The whole evening was top notch and I would definitely come back again.

View of the marina fully enjoyed, while drinking on classic brunch dishes served beautifully, and we even rushed them a bit and ended up with time to spare. Delicious and Magical! Thank you!
